Conservatives Focus Probes at DOJ Weaponization

DOJ

Conservatives in the House of Representatives are about to go head-to-head with the DOJ, in a classic example of “irresistible force meets immovable object.” What’s looming on the horizon is a crash equivalent to a SpaceX booster rocket slamming into an asteroid at full blast. The focus of congressional oversight probes will be the “weaponization” of government itself.

Investigating DOJ investigators

Now that Republicans got the almighty single vote majority edge in the House, Jim Jordan and his conservative watchdog colleagues can unleash the hounds against the DOJ. Politico is terrified that “Republican lawmakers are empowering themselves to look at any agency or program that they view as suspect.

Meanwhile, the Just Us Department and their action team called the Federal Bureau of Instigation are “bound to safeguard” their own investigations. In the case of the Biden family, lack of investigations.

Politico isn’t exaggerating when they report that “Republicans are declaring what amounts to an investigative war on the Biden administration.” Darn skippy. The DOJ is about to become one big “ongoing criminal investigation” all by itself.

All the beltway insiders are unanimous in their analysis of what’s next. “Veterans of some of Congress’ recent major probes, and the department itself, predict that they’ll be told to pound sand.

Jim Jordan expects that but he’s still working on a huge stack of subpoenas. “GOP lawmakers are dramatically escalating their standoff with the administration by launching a wide-ranging investigative panel to probe what they call the ‘weaponization‘ of government.” Half of America calls it that.

Today’s DOJ is so far out of control they make the Nixon era Watergate break in look like a third rate burglary.

A broad mandate

Conservatives have “a broad mandate that will allow the party to look into any government agency or program that it views as suspect, including the FBI, IRS and the intelligence community.” They’ll be shining the light of oversight into all the dark Deep State corners.

The whole reason Kevin McCarthy had such a hard time getting the speaker’s gavel is that the RINO moderate didn’t want conservatives to have that much power. He wanted the job bad enough to let them have it though. The DOJ is going frantic trying to figure out how to get out of this one.

Politico knows that announcement of the probe into DOJ weaponization is only the beginning. “It’s an opening salvo that promises to escalate quickly. The Justice Department is certain to fiercely protect its most sensitive investigative files and prosecutors are simply not going to hand over information on open criminal probes, legal experts say.

The resulting conflict promises to erode the already strained relationship between DOJ and congressional Republicans.” Everybody knows they won’t hand anything over willingly. They haven’t so far, why would we expect them to start now.

According to former House General Counsel Stan Brand, “this will be a separation of powers hornets’ nest.” He’s been representing witnesses in Nancy Pelosi’s kangaroo court trying to pin January 6th’s barbarian invasion on Donald Trump.

In order to insulate the process from taint, [DOJ] will have to draw clearer ‘lines in the sand‘ over what they will provide.” This situation has gotten so far out of hand that Congress may decide to disband the whole department first, then investigate it after it’s been replaced by something more accountable.
