After last week’s debate, I was sure that Trump would push for another debate against Harris.
The reviews on the debate were overwhelmingly in Harris’ favor even though she offered nothing on policy and the debate was clearly rigged in her favor.
Trump, however, says he won the debate and there is no need to do another one.
Let It Ride
Immediately after the debate, Harris gloated, talked about how “fun” it was, and said she would do another debate.
Trump, however, claimed she lost, and demanding a rematch is what the loser always does.
Trump stated, “When a prizefighter loses a fight, the first words out of his mouth are, ‘I WANT A REMATCH.’
“Polls clearly show that I won the Debate against Comrade Kamala Harris, the Democrats’ Radical Left Candidate, on Tuesday night, and she immediately called for a Second Debate.”
He then stated, “She was a no-show at the Fox Debate, and refused to do NBC & CBS.
“Kamala should focus on what she should have done during the last almost four year period. THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!”
I would like to see Trump do another debate, but I will be the first to admit that Fox News needs to be involved if it is going to be a fair debate.
I would even say that it could be done on CNN if it was done in the same manner as the last one.
Having said that, if Trump does another debate, he is going to get hit pretty hard on the cat-eating claims in Springfield, OH, so not sure how that will all play out.
And for the record, I have no problem if the moderators fact-check during the debate, but they need to fact-check both candidates and they need to have their facts straight, neither of which took place during the ABC News debate.
I guess when you are neighbors with the boss and sorority sisters with a moderator, you don’t have to worry about being fact-checked.
