Well, it is official…
CPAC is all MAGA, all the time.
More specifically, the convention has become an event that is more like a Trump rally than a true mix of conservatives.
Not Going
Donald Trump is probably already blowing up Truth Social with the results of the straw poll that was taken at CPAC.
The poll was pretty predictable with DeSantis not attending.
Without the governor being there in person, there was really no reason for his supporters to show up.
This meant that attendance would be overwhelmingly in favor of Trump.
To that point, Trump won the straw poll 62 percent to 20 percent.
Something worth mentioning, however, is that the room was not full when Trump spoke.
I saw some camera angles that looked like quite a few seats were empty.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I know Trump is ahead in the primary polls right now, but it surely is not by 40 points.
