Nikki Haley is getting a little too much attention for Trump’s liking these days, so he is out to knock her down a few pegs.
Haley got another boost from the last debate, so Trump made her public enemy number one this week.
Trump unleashed a vicious rant against her on Truth Social, then his campaign allegedly sent her a bizarre gift.

When Haley resigned as UN Ambassador, Trump had nothing but nice things to say about her.
At the time, Trump stated, “She’s done a fantastic job, and we’ve done a fantastic job together.
“She’s a fantastic person, very importantly, but she also is somebody that gets it.”
When she decided to run, she even went to Mar-a-Lago to talk to him about it, getting his blessing.
But now that she is closing in, she gets a nickname.
On Truth Social, Trump posted, “MAGA, or I, will never go for Birdbrain Nikki Haley. No loyalty, plenty of lies! ‘I will never run against our great President,’ she said, ‘he has done an outstanding job.’
“To which I responded, ‘How nice of you to say, Nikki,’ knowing full well that her words mean nothing. She even came to Mar-a-Lago with her family, ‘bearing gifts.’
“Anyway, Birdbrain doesn’t have the TALENT or TEMPERAMENT to do the job. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
After that, Trump’s campaign allegedly dropped off a present for her outside of her hotel room…

Haley’s Campaign Manager Betsy Ankney added, “This behavior is weird, creepy, and desperate from a former president feeling the pressure. It’s more proof that it’s time to leave the drama behind.
“America is better than this. Let’s go.”
Trump’s base is going to love it, but I am not sure how well that will play with the moderates and independents that Trump needs to win a general election.
Whoever the person was in Trump’s campaign who decided that was a good idea, needs to get reeled in because that little stunt did not play too well on social media.
If this winds up being a hoax by a Haley staffer to get her some attention, her campaign will be over, as well as her political career.
