Hunter Biden took a tip from Warren Zevon. “I’m the innocent bystander,” he’s been trying to tell the Arkansas court in his paternity case. “Somehow I got stuck between a rock and a hard place and I’m down on my luck. Yes, I’m down on my luck.” There’s only one answer for that. “Send lawyers, guns and money, dad, get me out of this.” He “settled” his child support beef “privately.” While some are saying his high paid lawyers might have threatened the physical safety of the child or her mother, there isn’t any evidence of that.
Hunter avoids jail again
The exact same day Hunter Biden’s “special” special prosecutor decided he’s only going to charge some Mickey Mouse offenses which don’t carry any real penalties, especially not any jail time, Biden managed to get out of being jailed for up to a year on a contempt charge in his child support case. No case, no contempt.
He may be a starving artist who can’t afford to pay what he agreed but he miraculously found a way to make Lunden Roberts sign paperwork letting him off the hook. If he doesn’t have any money, what did he use to settle the suit? Blackmail? The world may never know.
What we do know comes from “a source close to the [alleged] first son.” Lunden Roberts “the mother of Hunter’s long-unacknowledged four-year-old daughter, agreed to her monthly child support payments being slashed by more than 75% — from $20,000 to less than $5,000.” She also reportedly “dropped her legal bid to change the little girl’s surname to Biden.”
The deposition of Hunter Biden today in Arkansas is interesting because it is not clear if he has previously gone under oath directly on his finances. https://t.co/hxumNjQ5QA This is why the effort to reduce child support could prove costly. https://t.co/pKkQprJXac

Everyone wants to know what made her suddenly change her mind. You can bet Judge Holly Meyer will be asking some questions about that before she signs off on the settlement. She might still lock Hunter in a cell for wasting everyone’s time with a frivolous suit in the first place. Just because he convinced his baby mama to back down doesn’t mean he’ll get out of it so easy.
The deal “was reached in a private conversation between Hunter and his former lover, who showed up in person to his deposition in Little Rock last week.” He must have said something pretty interesting, that’s for sure. “Roberts is believed to have $11,000 in savings put aside for the child from the $750,000 received from Hunter since their 2020 settlement.”
Perhaps he offered to tell the judge what she did with the money? If she hung around with Biden then there’s a good chance she likes getting he nose powdered. That’s not good behavior for a high profile mom. She won’t get to spend a dime of the child support if it’s going to the state for foster care expenses.

Poverty and private jets
Last year, Hunter filed paperwork in court begging the judge to cut his child support obligations. He alleged “reduced circumstances.” When he had to appear in court last month, he and his highly paid legal team flew into town on “a friend’s private jet.”
He can have a friend fork over some cash for his child but won’t do it. The Big Guy won’t even hang a stocking up at Christmas for his extra granddaughter.
Previously, lawyers for Ms. Lunden “asked the judge to jail the [alleged] president’s son for contempt after he failed to produce all the financial documents they demanded to prove his newfound poverty.”

The judge was clearly leaning in that direction. She scheduled an appearance for mid-July where Hunter and his attorneys need to “show cause” why Biden shouldn’t go to jail for a while.
Biden must have been smoking crack again if he thought that he could get the court to lower his support obligation without revealing his financial records. Judge Meyer was getting testy about it.
She threatened to put Hunter in jail until he turns the records over. Or, six months, whichever comes first. Separately, she was going to hit him with another six months for thinking he could get away with it. She still needs to approve the settlement and dismiss the case. This isn’t over until Judge Meyer says it’s over.
