Joe Biden left the beach over a holiday weekend and actually put in some work, if you can believe that.
After trying all week to walk back his comments about MAGA Republicans, Biden pushed the same narrative while in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
Needless to say, the speeches were not received well by Republicans.
Attacking MAGA
While in Wisconsin, Biden was focused on Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI).
Biden is trying to paint the man as a radical simply because he supported Donald Trump.
Biden stated, “I want to be very clear upfront, not every Republican is a MAGA Republican.
“Not every Republican embraces that extreme ideology.
“I know because I’ve been able to work with mainstream Republicans in my whole career.
“But the extreme MAGA Republicans in Congress have chosen to go backwards, full of anger, violence, hate, and division.”
These comments come from a man who only days before gave one of the most divisive speeches we have ever heard from a president, with an ominous blood-red backdrop and Marines at the ready.
Biden then went directly after Senator Johnson, stating, “Extreme MAGA Republicans don’t just threaten our personal rights and our economic security. They embrace political violence.
“Sen. Johnson said it was a by and large a peaceful protest.
“Have you seen the video of what happened that day?
“Listened to the stories of the members from both parties of Congress and the jeopardy they were put in?
“Cops attacked and assaulted, speared with flag poles, sprayed with mace, stomped down, dragged, brutalized.”
I guess maybe we should ask Joe Biden why so many Democrats, including him, referred to the George Floyd protests in the same way.
The difference is that those riots lasted for months, not a single afternoon, creating billions of dollars of damage around the country.
But, hey, they were mostly peaceful protests, right?
