The 73 year old veteran and another individual were standing on the corner of Main Street and Webster Street, with Trump flags and signs. According to police, Dudley went up to the two Trump supporters and “began to berate them with insults,” and told them to leave.
Police say that as the Trump supporters began moving away from Dudley, she bumped the veteran with her body, then stepped on his “Veterans for Trump” sign. As he bent over to pick it up, police say Dudley “knocked him to the ground causing an injury to his finger.”
Multiple people called 911, and Dudley was later arrested. She has been charged with assault and battery on an elderly person causing injury.
On Monday, at her arraignment in Uxbridge District Court, Dudley claimed to the judge that the man had attacked her first in the incident. The judge ordered her to stay away from the veteran or her bail would be revoked. Dudley is due back in court on November 20.
Local news outlets and Trump supporters were waiting outside of the courthouse during her arraignment.

Speaking to one local news outlet outside the courthouse, Dudley claimed that the Vietnam veteran had lied, and that he was the true aggressor. She also claimed that he was being charged, but there is so far no evidence of that.
