Folks, I totally get the idea of protesting and I am the type of person that never has an issue with the act when it is done lawfully.
Even if it is a protest that is done by someone that I don’t agree with politically, I got no issue with it if they are doing things “the right way”.
I think we all know what I mean by doing things the right way. Don’t destroy other people’s property. Don’t harm someone else.
It is when these protests get into the idea of destroying something that doesn’t belong to them or cause great inconvenience to people the protest had nothing to do with that my rear end gets chapped.
Like these people that decide the best way to protest whatever cause they are protesting is to lie down in the middle of the street at a busy intersection.
I mean, I cannot tell you how many people have probably been harmed by being the one that drew the short straw of needing to get to a hospital and were late in getting the medical treatment that they needed because some idiot decided to lay in the street.
Or, and this one always gets me, the lunatics that go to museums and art galleries and try to destroy old paintings to draw attention to their cause.
I hate to tell them all this, but they aren’t drawing attention to their cause so much as they are drawing attention to the fact that they are complete and total idiots.
Like the people in the U.K. recently who decided their best way to protest the use of oil was to throw tomato soup on the Van Gogh painting “Sunflowers”.
I mean really, first of all you are wasting a perfectly good can of soup.
šØBreaking; Two Just Stop Oil activists who threw tinned soup over Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflowers have been found guilty of criminal damage.

Second of all, what the heck does the painting have to do with what you are protesting?
If you’re protesting oil or something, why don’t you go and spray paint the sign on a gas station?
Anyway, the two criminals that defaced the painting have been sentenced to jail time. It is a good thing that they are being forced to pay for what they did, just on the grounds of being idiots.
