The presence of Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) at the SOTU address did not sit well with Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT).
Santos decided to take a spot that was front and center to Biden’s arrival, assuring himself of some TV time.
When Romney passed by Santos, he told him exactly what he thought of him.

Romney was not exactly discreet when he saw Santos.
He looked him dead in the eye and told him, “You don’t belong here.”
According to the lip readers, he then stated, “You ought to be embarrassed.”
As Mitt walked away from Santos, he appears to have called him an “a$$hole,” to which Santos replied, “You’re a bigger one.”
Santos then took a dig against Romney on Twitter…

Romney did not expand on the exchange, but he did talk to the media after the encounter.
He stated, “Given the fact that he’s under ethics investigation he should be sitting in the back row and being quiet instead of parading in front of the president.”
I would take it a step further and say he that Santos should not have even been in the building.
