There is a big election in 2023 that most people do not even realize.
The Virginia legislature will be up for grabs in November.
Joe Biden is so worried about Governor Youngkin’s influence, that he has ordered the DNC to drop more than $1 million to help Democrats keep control of the state.

When Youngkin won his election, it made national headlines because it was the first big win for Republicans in a state that has been trending blue for more than a decade.
Youngkin, however, is fighting a Democrat-run legislature.
So, he has been pounding the campaign trail, specifically in Richmond, to try to flip the legislature so he can start to put more conservative laws on the books.
How worried are Democrats?
Well, let me put it this way…
During the last election cycle, the DNC spent about $100,000 in Virginia.
During this cycle, they have already dumped about $1.5 million.
So, I would say they are pretty worried.
Carly Cooperman, a Democratic pollster, stated, “Biden knows that Virginia is a very important state, and as a purple state with off-year elections, these results will be seen as a measure of where the country stands.
“If the results in the state Senate and House of Delegates are positive for the Democrats, it will be seen as a shift in momentum heading into the 2024 election, where Biden currently is struggling in the polls.
“Likewise, if Republicans are successful in Virginia, it would increase Gov. Youngkin’s standing significantly, improving the already popular governor’s positioning for a last-minute presidential run.”
Now, I don’t think Youngkin will be foolish enough to launch a presidential run, but he is clearly becoming a major player for the 2028 race.
