Donald Trump needs to stop wasting money filing lawsuits in blue states because he has no shot of winning them.
Chances are the case will fall in front of a liberal judge with an agenda.
To that point, Trump’s suit for defamation against the New York Times has been tossed.
Big Loss
Trump had filed a $100 million suit against the Times for a report about his taxes.
The suit centered around Trump’s allegations made against the NYT and his estranged niece for “tortuously breaching and/or interfering with his contractual rights and otherwise maliciously conspiring against him.”
The filing stated, “The defendants engaged in an insidious plot to obtain confidential and highly-sensitive records which they exploited for their own benefit and utilized as a means of falsely legitimizing their publicized works.
“The defendants’ actions were motivated by a personal vendetta and their desire to gain fame, notoriety, acclaim and a financial windfall and were further intended to advance their political agenda.”
New York Supreme Court Justice Reed did not agree, and the case has been dismissed.
Reed’s ruling stated that Trump had failed to prove a single claim, so into the shredder went the lawsuit.
The New York Times gloated, stating, “The New York Times is pleased with the judge’s decision today.
“It is an important precedent reaffirming that the press is protected when it engages in routine newsgathering to obtain information of vital importance to the public.”
I know it may sound crazy, but Trump just has to let all this go.
Every time he loses a case, it only adds fuel to the fire for the media and Democrats to go after him on these issues.
