In all my days, I never thought I would hear a member of the Hollywood “woke” crowd say something nice about President Trump.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, however, stunned everyone by sending a public “thank you” to Trump for helping address the homeless situation in California.
Everyone knows @realDonaldTrump & I have our disagreements. But I want to thank you for sending @SecretaryCarson to our homelessness summit. We’ll only solve this if everyone works together. This issue is bigger than all of us. Now it’s time for action https://t.co/gJVNs3h10f

Homelessness in America
The homelessness problem in this country seems to be getting worse with every passing day.
We now have more than 500,000 homeless in this country, which is inexcusable.
Now, I will be the first person to admit that sadly, for some of these people, there is no fix.
They are either mentally ill or simply prefer to live this way.
However, for those that need and/or want help, we should be able to provide them a hand up to let them get back on their feet again.
The ironic and very telling thing about homelessness, though, is that a significant amount of homeless in this country reside in California.
The latest estimates are that there are more than 150,000 homeless living in this state.
This is also the same state that houses a liberal horde that regularly protest conservatives and has an abundance of Hollywood stars who live in mansions lecturing us all about how to live our lives when they do little to nothing to address this major problem in their own state.
After California, New York leads the way, with almost 100,000 homeless in the state.
So, between the two most liberal states in the country, roughly half of all homeless in the United States reside.
Trump Administration and Homelessness
Over the last year or so, this has become a major focus for HUD Secretary Ben Carson.
In fact, HUD recently announced a $20 million investment that will go to public housing agencies to help improve the living situation of these families to try to help them earn more money and become less reliant on government assistance.
This is what is known as a hand up, not a handout.
The programs that will benefit are meant to educate and train those living in public housing so they can have a better life.
Secretary Carson stated, “HUD is committed to empowering public housing residents with new educational and economic tools to improve self-sufficiency.”
Of course, the left is both skeptical and critical, but that is because they would prefer to keep all these people down so they need the government.
Arnold, where were your Democrat pals? Oh that is right, they were making Banditos feel welcome.
I believe that our President has just applied the homeless solution. Now that ICE will have backup, they can grab the homeless and take them back to the border.
That will create more shelter for the American homeless.
Almost all the homeless are in 9 major cities – ALL run by Democrats – and up and down the West Coast and East Coast.
I was going to say that myself, you are so right.
why not start small home villages, small homes are cheap and easy to build, this would help those that really want help. and how about those rich billionaires pitching in and get things going. If you cant afford to pitch in with money volunteer, by helping to build or what ever is needed. even I would do that and I am 68 years young. those that come into this country illegally ,go back and come in legally.
AMERICA IS NOT YOUR WELFARE COUNTRY.
Totally agree.
Speaking of mansions, pelosi and “impeach 45” idiot both live in mansions – in california.
Want to stop the madness in CA. and American cities, get rid of Pelosi, Newsome and the other elite DumbOcrates in our sate, local and Fed, Governments.
Fix the homeless problem?… Fix the liberal problem which is the root of all social problems in this country, first.
Agree to build that wall and shut down the freeloaders looking for all the liberal handouts, then we can apply all those resources to take care of the true American homeless. Help them get back to providing for themselves.
