Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has done it again.
Yet another falsehood on Walz’s record has been exposed, two of them actually.
And yet again, Harris’ campaign claims he merely misspoke.
He’s a Liar
When Walz first decided to run for office, he posted an achievement on his 2006 campaign website.
He claimed to have won an award from the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce for his work in the community, only he never won such an award.
Then-president of the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce, Barry L. Kennedy called out Walz for the lie, demanding he remove it from his website.
He wrote, “We researched this matter and can confirm that you have not been the recipient of any award from the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce.
“I am not going to draw a conclusion about your intentions by including this line in your biography.
“However, we respectfully request that you remove any reference to our organization as it could be considered an endorsement of your candidacy.
“It should be pointed out, however, that the US Chamber of Commerce has endorsed your opponent, Congressman Gil Gutknecht, for his support of small business issues.”
Walz had also claimed that a program he was associated with as a student teacher was sponsored by Harvard, but that was not the case either.
Walz’s website claimed, “With his teaching degree complete, Harvard University offered Walz an opportunity to gain a new perspective on global education by teaching in the People’s Republic of China.”
The program was actually called WorldTeach, which is a non-profit that was founded by Harvard graduates as well as being funded by a “student-run community service group,” not Harvard itself.
How did the Harris campaign respond? By saying that Walz misspoke
It stated, “Governor Walz speaks the way real people speak – openly and off the cuff. The American people appreciate that Gov. Walz tells it like it is and doesn’t talk like a politician, and they appreciate the difference between someone who occasionally misspeaks and a pathological liar like Donald Trump.”
Remember, Democrats never lie, they just misspeak.
