Jake Tapper is about to meet the same fate as Don Lemon.
Amid falling ratings, Tapper is being shipped from a prime-time spot to daytime TV.
It has not yet been announced who will be taking his slot.

Tapper can be an amazing journalist when he wants to be.
Sadly, he fell into the trap of most other CNN employees when Donald Trump was elected.
Even now, he cannot get past spitting venom needlessly at Trump supporters while ignoring the same behavior on the left.
Not once have I heard Tapper go after Hillary or KJP for denying election results, or Joe Biden, for that matter.
Yet, in his second show in his prime-time spot, he stated, “Unhinged lies born from Donald Trump’s grievance that he lost and his refusal to accept reality… this anti-democracy insanity — it has already infiltrated the same halls of Capitol Hill where the rioters once stood … all of this leaves you, the voter, in sort of an impossible position.
“You should be able to walk into that voting booth and vote on issues that affect your life like the economy or crime or education or health care.
“But now, in too many races, instead of asking yourself, ‘What can this candidate do for me and my community and my children in the next two years?’
“You now also have to ask, ‘Hey, does this candidate believe in democracy?’”
Tapper had an opportunity to hit the ground running, getting the rare Joe Biden interview, but he blew that too.
He never really put Biden on the spot or made him feel uncomfortable.
It was one softball after the next.
Tapper was well behind Sean Hannity, pulling down about one-third of what Hannity was in his spot.
So, now Tapper is headed back to a daytime slot, where he can go back to conservative bashing without costing the network so much money.
