Yet another politician has been diagnosed with a severe illness.
Rep. Dan Kildee (D-MI) made the announcement a few days ago that he has “serious, but curable” cancer.
So far, 2024 has not been a good year to be a politician.
What Is Going On?
Politicians are dropping like flies right now, especially on the left side of the aisle.
In announcing his diagnosis, Kildee stated, “The results, it turns out, were more significant.
“After additional testing, I’ve been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, a serious but curable form of cancer.
“Thankfully, I caught it very early. With early detection and great doctors, they found a very small tumor in one of my tonsils.
“It’s never easy to hear the words you have cancer.
“But I know that so many other families have gone through a cancer diagnosis.
He has his surgery scheduled and he stated that his doctors told him “prognosis after surgery and treatment is excellent.”
Along with Kildee, Senators Feinstein (D-CA) and Fetterman (D-PA) have been out sick.
There are also a few Republicans that have been out, most notably Senator McConnell (R-KY) who took a nasty tumble and has been out for weeks.
