If you are a Trump supporter, you are probably not going to like what I am about to say.
I only ask that you hear me out for my reasoning.
Trump is winding up his 2024 campaign stops and in doing so, fired off a few shots at Ron DeSantis.
Not Necessary
Trump continues to take credit for every aspect of Ron DeSantis’ political career.
He stated, “He’s [DeSantis] going to have to do what he wants to do, but he may run.
“I do think it would be a great act of disloyalty because, you know, I got him in. He had no chance. His political life was over.”
That stance is utterly ridiculous.
DeSantis does not have to put his political ambitions on hold so Trump can feed his never-ending ego by running for president again.
Trump should be welcoming the competition and openly stating that the GOP will have a great debate on how to make this country better, not shredding his fellow Republicans.
Trump’s bravado is quite fake, as he is clearly terrified of the challenge that DeSantis would present to this campaign.
Trump’s answer to DeSantis possibly running should be to let the American people decide who they want to lead the party, then put his backing behind that person to ensure we defeat Democrats in 2024.
Trump is trying to portray DeSantis as some type of RINO, which he is not.
These attacks are only going to hurt Trump and create more divide.
Trump is going to get this to a situation where DeSantis supporters will not support him and Trump supporters will not support DeSantis in a general election.
He is literally paving a way for Democrats to take this election and if he does that, conservatives will never forgive him.
