New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been whining in the media about the strain of a mere 100,000 migrants are putting on his city.
Yet, instead of figuring that out, guess what his city council is more worried about?
That would be statues of George Washington… I kid you not.
They Have to Go
Believe it or not, an item on the council’s agenda is the removal of a George Washington statue.
In fact, the city is hoping to remove all monuments that have anything to do with slavery ownership, which would include some Founding Fathers.
This means the iconic George Washington statue in Union Square Park would be removed.
The city is considering a bill that would “require the Public Design Commission (PDC) to publish a plan to remove works of art on City property that depict a person who owned enslaved persons or directly benefitted economically from slavery, or who participated in systemic crimes against indigenous peoples or other crimes against humanity.
“This bill would also require the Department of Transportation to consult with the Department of Education to install plaques on sidewalks or other public space adjacent to schools that are named after a person that fits the criteria.”
This is how Democrats deal with history… they just abolish it.
Remember when Trump predicted this would happen…
Sad to see the history and culture of our great country being ripped apart with the removal of our beautiful statues and monuments. You…..
