With election season now in full swing, we are doing a deep dive into Kamala’s VP, and every day, we find something else about him that we don’t like.
The latest is that he commuted a sentence for someone who committed another crime not long after Walz had him freed.
A GOP House candidate was more than happy to fill everyone in.
Bad Choice
The person in question is Myon Burrell.
Oddly enough, I remember this case when it happened, as it was one of the more horrific shootings of the time.
Burrell was involved in a gang shooting that took the life of an 11-year-old girl who was sitting at a table in her house doing homework when an errant bullet passed through the wall, struck and killed the little girl.
Burrell was 16 at the time, and of course he claimed he was innocent.
The original case was tried by then prosecutor and now Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN).
Governor Tim Walz Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Lorie Gildea, all voted in favor of commuting Burrell’s sentence and setting him free, only to commit another crime.
Republican House candidate Joe Teirab explained, “I think Tim Walz has to answer for this: there’s a man in Minnesota, a criminal named Myon Burrell, and some people might know his story because Myon Burrell’s a Bloods criminal street gang member. I charged the Bloods in a more recent case.
“Myon Burrell shot and killed an 11-year-old girl who was doing her homework on her kitchen table in Minneapolis.
“He was convicted and he did almost 20 years in prison. And, after — he maintained his innocence, which he definitely wasn’t. Guess who commuted his sentence?
“Tim Walz commuted his sentence.”
He continued, “And, not long after being off of probation for three months, this criminal, Myon Burrell, got picked up for having drugs and a gun in his car.
“And guess who bailed him out? Because he was set free.
“Guess who bailed him out? The Minnesota Freedom Fund. The same fund that Kamala Harris was soliciting funds for during the riots.”
This is who Democrats advocate for… hardened criminals.
We have tens of thousands of homeless veterans, veterans who regularly struggle with mental health, yet Democrats want to focus on letting thugs out of jail and giving more freebies away to illegal immigrants.
At what point to Democrat voters wake up realize that these politicians do not have our best interests at heart?
