Now that Kevin McCarthy cut his own throat politically, Jim Jordan is looking like the favored front-runner to replace him as Speaker of the House. The last time around there was a huge push to “draft” the Ohio Lawmaker into the job but he insisted on the chairmanship of the weaponization sub-committee instead. This time, he’s all set to pick up the gavel.
Jordan jumps to the front
In the race to select a new Speaker of the House, Jim Jordan just jumped ahead of the pack. As soon as the chairman of the Judiciary Committee announced he wanted the job, there was an instant groundswell of support. Especially from the far right. The left is freaking out in full-on panic.
They can’t see how a “shut it all down” kind of guy can be so popular. That’s because they refuse to accept that the only way to avoid a shut down is to actually craft a responsible budget. Which happens to be the point McCarthy missed completely.
Jordan was “the first-ever chairman of the conservative House Freedom Caucus” and currently sits over the panel in charge of Joe Biden’s impeachment investigation, as Judiciary Committee chair.

Besides that, he helms the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. He wouldn’t work behind the backs of fellow Republicans to ignore the will of We the People to make diabolical deals with Democrats.
His “dear colleague” letter was focused like a laser on burning “far-left progressive policies.” He’s fully behind a secure border and criminalizing crime again.
Jim Jordan is already totally convinced that the entire federal government is being used like a gun pointed in the face of every American, especially the ones who believe in such terrible things as the two-heterosexual-parent nuclear family and teaching kids how to read, instead of how to make up new gender identities for fun.
A critical crossroad in history
“We are at a critical crossroad in our nation’s history,” Jordan passionately wrote. “Now is the time for our Republican conference to come together to keep our promises to Americans.” It’s really nice to hear one of our lawmakers actually standing up for what We the People are demanding.
“The problems we face are challenging, but they are not insurmountable. We can focus on the changes that improve the country and unite us in offering real solutions. But no matter what we do, we must do it together as a conference.”
That was a jab at the Democrat in disguise “moderate” types who conservatives love to call RINOs because the only thing Republican about them is is the (R) behind their name.

Mitt Romney, for instance, should have registered Socialist along with Bernie Sanders long ago because he’s further left than most Democrats. Instead, he prefers to act as a liberal sleeper cell and sabotage the GOP from within. Jordan isn’t going to stand for that.
The cheers and applause for his decision drowned out the big test of the Emergency Alert System. When Kentucky Republican Thomas Massie heard the announcement, he was quick to offer his endorsement.
“Jordan would be his first choice for the top job.” Jim Banks of Indiana agrees. “When it comes to negotiating on behalf of the House GOP Majority with the Senate and White House, I can’t think of anyone stronger.” That’s because “He never backs down.“
