Oh, you guys are not going to believe this one.
After the attack on Israel, reports started to blow up that Palestinian fighters were using American weapons.
And this was not just from the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Killing Our Enemy
An Israeli commander spoke with Newsweek to explain the problem.
Now, we know terrorists gobbled up whatever weapons were still working when we left Afghanistan.
However, it now appears that some of our aid for Ukraine has wound up in Russian hands, which was then sent to Iran for Hamas.
The commander expressed the concerns he has, stating, “One is that they can research capabilities, and then learn how to manufacture them.
“I’m talking especially about Iran.
“The other problem is that we are very worried that some of these capabilities are going to fall to Hezbollah and Hamas’ hands.
Then he described a massive cache of weapons the Russians dropped in Tehran.
The cache included, “U.S.-made Javelins and United Kingdom-made Next Generation Light Anti-armor weapons (NLAWs).”
The State Department responded, “The U.S. Government remains keenly aware of the risk of possible illicit diversion, and is proactively taking steps to mitigate this risk in close cooperation with the government of Ukraine.
“We are sending weapons to help Ukraine defend itself in an active conflict, and realistically must acknowledge that there is a risk these weapons could be captured if territory changes hands, as can happens in any war.”
You see, if we had any accountability from Ukraine, we would know exactly what weapons were captured by the Russians.
I would guarantee this is far from the only cache of US weapons that Russia grabbed in Ukraine.
So, United States taxpayers are, in essence, funding both sides of this war.
