John Bolton has finally admitted what most of us already knew.
Speaking at Vanderbilt University with Susan Rice, Bolton admitted that his testimony would not have made a lick of a difference during the impeachment hearings or trial.
Just Kidding
When Bolton initially offered to speak to the Senate, I called it a publicity stunt.
His offer happened to coincide with a presale link for his upcoming book, a book that may never hit the shelves as it turns out.
He probably only made the offer because he knew Republicans were unlikely to allow any witnesses.
As it turns out, even Bolton is admitting that his testimony probably would have been a huge nothing burger.
Bolton stated, “People can argue about what I should have said and what I should have done.
“I would bet you a dollar right here and now, my testimony would have made no difference to the ultimate outcome.”
In those two sentences, he has proved everyone that has called him a fraud along the way.
This is and always has been about Bolton, and nothing more.
About That Book
Bolton was making a stink because the transcript of his book had been shot down by government staff tasked with clearing transcripts from former officials that are writing a book.
This is done to ensure no classified information is leaked out, which Bolton’s book was apparently filled with.
He has already been told the book, as is, cannot go to print.
Now he is reportedly facing additional scrutiny by Trump, who has called Bolton a traitor for being willing to publish so much classified information.
Trump is now reportedly trying to block the book going to print for that very reason.
This is a big problem for Democrats, who treated Bolton like he was the Holy Grail to get Trump impeached.
It is just one of many bad things that happened to Democrats that simply prove Dems are more interested in theater than politicking these days.
So much for his credibility !
