He calls himself “Pro-life Spider Man” and police dragged him into their web from the roof of a 42-storey office building. The Accenture Tower happens to be where the Consul General of Israel hangs out.
Spider man snagged
The activist knew exactly what would happen once he climbed like a spider to the top of an office building in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. Maison Des Champs was quickly and professionally arrested. He knows the drill by now.
Police have plenty of time to get ready for him. All they can do is watch while he clings to the side of the building.
There’s only two ways he can go and if the human spider lost his grip, there wouldn’t be much that could be done anyway. That’s why it’s standard procedure to meet him on the roof. That’s exactly what they did on Tuesday, October 10.

The stunt was clearly related to the recent conflict involving Israel but he’s not picking sides. Instead, he’s raising money for a young and confused expectant mother.
Tenants on the south side of the office tower were advised to “stay away from windows as the man managed to scale up the length of the high-rise.” He was never really a threat to anyone but himself, unless the human spider happened to land on someone after a fall.
Free climbing a building is harder than it looks but this isn’t the first he’s scaled. He’s done a few. Most recently, he was plucked off the top of the Salesforce Tower in San Francisco.
Climbing for Sierra
Climbing skyscrapers for attention is nothing new to Des Champs. He does it to “help raise funds for the anti-abortion movement.”
This time the spider took off up the wall to help “mother-of-two, Sierra, who recently became pregnant.” The idea is helping her financially so she can keep her unborn child. Funding is through the “Let Them Live” charity.
Spider man happens to be sponsored by “Ultra Right” Beer. He had a can in his fanny pack and cracked it open on camera as soon as he hit the roof.

Cops couldn’t charge him with anything extra for that because it was filled with sparking water, just for him. They did arrest him but haven’t quite decided what for yet. Charges are “pending.”
Workers were stunned to have a young man peeking in their windows at them. Especially the ones on the higher floors. Once safely at the top, the spider climbing activist issued a brief statement.
“Today, I am not just free-climbing a building but a mountain of hope for a young mother named Sierra, teetering on the brink of abortion. Approximately 17 weeks into her surprise pregnancy, Sierra is grappling with whether to hold or to fold and we, through Let Them Live, have the chance to be her safety net.” That’s something he didn’t have.
