What is going on with the rails in Ohio?

Yet another derailment has occurred near the Clark County Fairgrounds.

HAZMAT teams have already responded.

Again?

So, either we need to shut down our rail system or we need to figure out a new way for these chemicals to be transported.

Fox News is reporting, “At 7 p.m. Saturday, the Clark County Emergency Management Agency asked residents within 1,000 feet of the train derailment to shelter in place ‘out of an abundance of caution,’ according to a post on the Clark County government Facebook page.”

All roads have been closed in the immediate area.

The previous derailment in East Palestine is only a month old and this happens.

We are still waiting for more information to come in on this accident, but that does not change the fact that our rail system is either completely unsafe or the engineers need to be better trained.

Pete Buttigieg said the other day that there are roughly 1,000 derailments every year.

That is about three per day, every day, which is simply unacceptable when you consider the goods transported and the sheer number of people that travel by train every day.

Honestly, you could not pay me enough to ride a train right now.
