For years, Social Security has been the topic of discussion in our political world.
In fact, going back to the 1970s, the man that lives in the White House residence embarked on a mission to end these programs that lasted decades.
Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) recently tried to adjust his platform agenda to clarify the GOP stance, which the White House jumped all over.
Both Sides of Their Mouth
The GOP does not want to eliminate these programs, but they are looking for ways to better fund them.
That is the whole idea behind what Scott had proposed.
Yet, when he made the changes, Karine Jean-Pierre went right after him, stating, “His true colors are undeniable and on the record.
“They have been speaking out of both sides of their mouth here.”
She continued, “The president congratulates Sen. Scott on joining the post-State of the Union red wave, as we have seen from Republicans acknowledging that they have in fact been attempting to put Medicare and Social Security on the chopping block.”
For the record, Biden’s claims about the GOP wanting to cut these programs were debunked by multiple fact-checkers after his SOTU address, yet the media continues to push the same narrative as the White House on this front.
It truly is pathetic.
