Someone leaked an important Pentagon report to Washington Post. Not the signal chat, that’s old news. This is much, much worse and heads should roll for it. The “Interim National Strategic Defense Guidance” memo is clearly marked “secret/not for foreigners.” Thanks to a traitorous mole, Xi Jinping can read all about how Pete Hegseth “has identified a potential conflict with China over Taiwan as a priority for the U.S. Armed Forces.”
Which Pentagon official
The “secret national defense manual” is only distributed to Pentagon officials. That means it had to be one of them that leaked. This wasn’t a casual mistake. Someone deliberately shared a copy with left-leaning alleged media outlet Washington Post.
They printed all sorts of things that the administration is embarrassed about. The Pooh Bear is pleased, shocked and worried, all at the same time.
On the subject of “planning a major war with a great power,” there is only one “possible conflict” the Pentagon needs to focus on. War with China.
Nobody is wasting their time preparing for a threat from Russia. Europe is the one that needs to be ready for Putin.
“China is the single most serious threat to the Department of Defense, and preventing a Chinese takeover of Taiwan – while simultaneously defending the United States – is the only scenario the department is focused on,” Hegseth wrote in the manual.
Since what’s left of NATO can handle Russia, the Pentagon is beefing up U.S. presence in the Indo-Pacific.

Bill Taipei for it
It appears that the Pentagon plans to saturate “the Indo-Pacific region with submarines, bombers, drones, and specialized Army and Marine units.”
They can improve “the defense of U.S. troop locations” while they stockpile supplies and generally improve logistics overall. Since they’re doing this to protect Taiwan, Taipai will get the bill.
“In addition, the document provides for pressure on Taipei to ‘significantly increase‘ its defense spending.” NATO thought his demand of 5 percent was onerous. “President Donald Trump demanded that Taipei spend up to 10 percent of its GDP on defense.”

The Pentagon isn’t putting all their efforts into countering China. They recognize possible “risks in other theaters.” Iran and North Korea are both high on the list.
That’s why the Pentagon is “seeking to increase pressure on allies in Europe, the Middle East, and East Asia to spend more on defense.” Another thing that has the attention of our generals is securing access to the Panama Canal.
Xi Jinping exercised heavy influence to cancel the port sale agreement. Heavy enough to prove exactly how much influence those Hong Kong owned ports really have over the canal. That, all by itself, is a reason for Trump to yank control of it back with Pentagon help.
