Marc Elias Preaches From the Witness Stand

Marc

Hillary Clinton’s top campaign lawyer, Marc Elias, tried his best to smear Donald Trump from the witness stand by preaching the gospel according to Hillary. To draw attention away from the uncomfortable questions, he spewed baseless and debunked Trump innuendo along with disdain and disparagement for the bureau.

Marc Elias takes a stand

Marc Elias took a stand alright, but not as a witness. The veteran lawyer wasn’t about to simply respond to questions. He had an agenda and he pressed it hard. Elias skillfully misdirected each question with unquestionable Deep State dogma.

For him it was all about the FBI’s non-response to “Russian interference in the 2016 election.” The fact there wasn’t any isn’t his problem. The bureau should have investigated it anyway.

Special Prosecutor John Durham finally dragged a Defendant into a courtroom for trial. Michael Sussmann, another Clinton Campaign lawyer, is accused of lying to the FBI. “Well, everybody does that,” Defense argues.

The important thing to team Durham is what the lie entailed and who it covered up. Marc Elias happened to be Hillary Clinton’s general counsel in 2016, when Sussmann spoon fed lies to the FBI “about Trump’s potential ties to a Russian bank.

On Wednesday, May 18, Marc Elias climbed into the witness box and promised to tell the truth. Then, he proceeded to call Donald Trump a “bully.” After the Democrats went to allegedly great lengths to download files to a flash drive, leak them, then blame the link on Russia, Donald Trump dared to ask the Russians to turn over Hillary’s Emails if they have them. Elias was furious.

There was clearly an attempt by Russia to ruin the one clean shot that candidates get to talk to the American public,” Elias testified. He claims he thought the campaign was under attack. “And instead of doing what any decent human being would do, and condemn it, Donald Trump said, ‘I hope Russia is listening and will find the 30,000 Hillary Clinton emails … and release them.

Baker up there too

After Marc Elias got done, Durham got back on track with the grilling of the FBI’s lawyer, general counsel James Baker. So far he’s been the star and was so popular he’ll be back on stage Thursday.

Baker is the key to this entire case because he was the point of contact for Sussmann, who personally delivered material which turned out to be badly forged. He lied when he told Baker that he didn’t have a particular client who wanted the bureau to have it. He had two. Hillary and the IT guy who forged the evidence.

Marc Elias isn’t real happy that all Baker did was get the stuff to Peter Strzok to use as the basis of Crossfire Hurricane. Baker should have done a whole lot more for Hillary, he insists. Baker’s phone has the most incriminating message, from the night before the meeting.

I’m coming on my own — not on behalf of a client or company — want to help the Bureau.” Durham calls that direct evidence of guilt and will probably make it stick.

The way Marc Elias sees it, the FBI had “not been particularly helpful in investigating” the Russian cyberattacks against the Democratic National Committee “or doing anything to prevent the leaks of the emails” that were put out by WikiLeaks throughout 2016. There’s a lot of evidence piled up elsewhere that says that was really an inside job. “The FBI, for a variety of reasons, was not going to do anything to stop these bad things from happening.

Even worse, “James Comey had taken public stances around that time period that were, in my view, unfair, and putting the thumb on the scale against Secretary Clinton.” He calls giving her a “get out of jail free card,” tipping the scales against her. In a just world, folks would burst into flames on the spot for uttering such lies, especially under oath.
