In an interview with the New York Times, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) advised House Republicans to not impeach President Biden despite overwhelming evidence linking him to alleged influence peddling schemes involving foreign governments.
His argument? “Impeachment ought to be rare, and this is not good for the country.”
Talk about a joke.
A number of House Republicans have called for the impeachment of President Biden due to his handling of the border crisis and weaponization of federal agencies against conservatives.
However, other evidence has emerged linking him and his family to payments from foreign nationals as well.
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) released evidence of wire transfers paid to Biden family members from Romania, China, and Ukraine.
The most concerning allegations relate to an FBI FD-1023 form outlining an alleged bribery scheme involving Joe and Hunter Biden.
This form was compiled by a purportedly “highly credible” FBI source and states that both Hunter and Joe were each paid $5 million in exchange for having Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin fired who was investigating Burisma at the time.
Furthermore, Devon Archer testified before Congress stating that it was the “Biden brand” that kept Burisma in business.
When pressed further by Tucker Carlson he admitted that Hunter only sat on their board with understanding he was “selling influence.”
Despite this cascade of evidence linking President Biden to corrupt business dealings and influence peddling, Senator McConnell has still advised against impeachment proceedings being taken up by House Republicans.
