When Nikki Haley announced that she was running, I was sure that she was doing so to benefit Trump.
The two actually discussed her run before she officially announced, and she did so with Trump’s blessing.
She has struggled in polling, but that all changed after the first debate.
Making Her Mark
I thought Haley had a great debate.
She utterly destroyed Vivek Ramaswamy, who happens to be a favorite of Donald Trump.
That few minutes of air time did wonders for her polling, as she received a significant surge.
She is now in third place among the “other than Trump” candidates.
But my narrative has been shattered.
If Haley was working with Trump, why would she take out Ramaswamy instead of DeSantis?
She clearly does not like Ramaswamy, and he seemed to be the only candidate on the stage that she felt that way about.
The next debate has tougher qualifiers, so this field is definitely going to thin out.
I just hope we see more fireworks from Haley because I would love to see her go after Ramaswamy again.
