As we continue to draw closer and closer to the 2024 presidential election, it appears that our original prediction of having Donald Trump pitted against Joe Biden may not actually come to fruition. In fact, Tucker Carlson has come forward to offer the American public an entirely new prediction regarding who will be against Trump.
Radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt predicted in June that Biden would not be the Democratic nominee for president, saying he would bow out by the primary election season.
Tucker Carlson echoed this sentiment during a speech at an Intercollegiate Studies Institute event in Wilmington, Delaware; he stated that Biden is “senile” and added that it’s “just true”. It’s likely that another Democrat, such as California Governor Gavin Newsom, may jump into the race – something which both Carlson and Hewitt agree on.
Tucker on 2024: "This is not going to be a race between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. This will be forced. These issues will be forced. Soon. It's about to get very serious. Everything is at stake. What wouldn't they do? What haven't they done? How will you prepare yourself?" pic.twitter.com/4zL7AKSoIh

So why is it looking more and more unlikely that Biden will remain in contention? We can look to history for some clues: In 1968, then-President Lyndon Johnson told the nation he would not seek re-election after barely winning his party’s first primary contest. Johnson ended up losing New Hampshire to Senator Eugene McCarthy from Minnesota by 6 percentage points, 48-42 – a bad showing for an incumbent president.
Four days later, Democratic Senator Robert F Kennedy of New York jumped in the race – could this same thing happen again? Kennedy’s son Robert F Kennedy Jr is currently running against an incumbent Democratic president – Joe Biden himself.
What could be other reasons for Biden bowing out of contention? There are mounting issues surrounding his family with Republicans continuing to unearth details about their shady overseas business deals.
George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley has suggested that “Joe Biden could pardon his son and then announce that he will not run for reelection” should these troubles continue to mount up.
Tucker Carlson believes we are engaged in a spiritual battle between right and wrong – citing radical stances taken by Democrats on abortion and transgender surgeries as examples of positions which make no sense logically but must instead be seen as part of this fight. He elaborated further on this point during a speech at The Heritage Foundation back in April shortly before being fired from Fox News: “Everything is at stake”.
