If you listen to Tucker Carlson on a regular basis, you would think he was a fan of Donald Trump.
After all, it was not too long ago the two of them, along with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, were seen at a private box at a sporting event yucking it up together, all appearing to be buddy, buddy.
Well, that may not be the case at all based on some communications between Carlson and staffers that were revealed recently.
Private No More
The texts came about via a defamation case against Fox News that is currently working its way through the courts.
Dominion Voting Systems is suing Fox News for $1.6 billion for defamation for reporting that the voting system was corrupted and possibly tainted the election.
In the text, Carlson was referring to Trump, stating, “I hate him passionately.”
Another stated, “We are very very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights. I truly can’t wait.”
In an exchange with Laura Ingraham, Carlson wrote, “Sidney Powell is lying by the way. I caught her. It’s insane.”
He also sent a text directly to Powell that stated, “You keep telling our viewers that millions of votes were changed by the software.
“I hope you will prove that very soon.
“You’ve convinced them that Trump will win.
“If you don’t have conclusive evidence of fraud at that scale, it’s a cruel and reckless thing to keep saying.”
I actually remember Carlson saying on-air that he had asked to her to come on present her proof, but she never did.
Keep in mind, they only published snippets of the conversations, so who knows what the actual context of these conversations is.
Fox News hit that point when it responded to the texts being made public.
Fox stated, “Thanks to today’s filings, Dominion has been caught red handed using more distortions and misinformation in their PR campaign to smear Fox News and trample on free speech and freedom of the press.
“We already know they will say and do anything to try to win this case, but to twist and even misattribute quotes to the highest levels of our company is truly beyond the pale.”
Carlson has not yet responded to the leak.
