If you’re only reading the headlines about the trial you might think that Kyle Rittenhouse will be receiving a guilty verdict at any minute now. Reality is very different and, to their credit, some liberals are finally admitting it. Ana Kasparian, of the far-left Young Turks, continues to spit venom at Kyle Rittenhouse and his lawyers but she has, at least, admitted that one statement she made which was a blatant and easily disproven lie was wrong.
Left-wing media lies about trial
Kasparian claimed initially that Rittenhouse had chased Joseph Rosenbaum, the first man who was shot. The prosecution has made the same argument with minimal evidence.
As Kasparian has now admitted, all of the available evidence and everything introduced at the trial shows that it was Rosenbaum who chased Rittenhouse before the shooting.
Developments in the trial have repeatedly been disastrous for the prosecution yet, with a few grudging exceptions like Kasparian, the mainstream media has presented the complete opposite to the public.
Most people do not have time to watch the entire trial over multiple days; the media is fully aware of this and knows that most people will not read beyond their headlines, which are usually very favorable for the prosecution.
Gaige Grosskreutz, the man whose arm was shot by Rittenhouse, was forced to admit under cross examination that Rittenhouse only fired after Grosskreutz had aimed his own gun at his head.
Innumerable headlines from mainstream media sources have completely omitted this admission, instead choosing to describe him as a distraught victim who offered “powerful testimony.”
Sleazy prosecution
Who was chasing whom and whether or not the person claiming self defense had a gun pointed at his head in the moment he pulled the trigger are not trivial questions.
The fact that the media is working so hard to present this as an easy and straightforward case for the prosecution indicates that powerful media figures are actively working to incite a riot in the event of an acquittal.
Between the slimy tactics employed by the prosecution and the deliberate misrepresentations espoused by the media, it says something about how straightforward this case should be that the defense is still well positioned for that acquittal.
Kyle Rittenhouse should never have been tried in the first place for such a clear case of self defense. The trial itself is a media circus meant to placate the mobs which attacked Rittenhouse that night.
The prosecution, in fact, has repeatedly antagonized the judge and nearly violated Rittenhouse’s constitutional rights.
It is enough to make one wonder if the prosecution might be counting on friendly media to misrepresent the events of the case and portray the judge as biased.
