ICYMI – Police are searching frantically across Oregon for fugitive torture suspect Benjamin Obadiah Foster. They’re also alerting the public that the 36-year-old “is using dating apps to lure victims and evade capture.” It’s working really well for him, which disturbs police.
Date with a fugitive
Oregon State Police are warning that a fugitive could make your next date a lot more dangerous than you imagine. Grants Pass Police Department alerted the public with a press release advising that Benjamin Obadiah Foster is accused of torturing women.
He meets lonely females online. Once he’s in the door, Foster has a place to hide, along with a new victim to play sadistic games with.
Detectives and the fugitive apprehension teams are still well behind him along his trail but “continue to follow and investigate leads.”

The bulletin issued January 26 credits Grants Pass PD “with the help of the Oregon State Police, Josephine County Sheriff’s Office, and federal partners,” in the execution of “a search warrant at a residence in Wolf Creek, Oregon to arrest Foster for attempted murder.” He was long gone by the time they got there.
That investigation scene resulted in charges of “attempted murder, kidnapping and assault.”
That’s what Josephine County District Attorney Joshua Eastman calls “trying to kill a victim in Grants Pass while ‘intentionally torturing‘ her and secretly confining her ‘in a place where she was not likely to be found.‘” The fugitive also did similar things elsewhere.
Before moving to Oregon
Foster hasn’t been living in Oregon long. Before he moved there, “Foster held his former girlfriend captive in her Las Vegas apartment for two weeks.” Associated Press dug up a Las Vegas police report.
It stated “the girlfriend had been forced to eat lye, was choked to the point of unconsciousness, and suffered broken ribs, two black eyes and injuries from being bound at the wrists and ankles.” This fugitive won’t stop until someone stops him.
Las Vegas PD isn’t happy that they had the dangerous fugitive in custody and liberal prosecutors let him go. “Foster was arrested by SWAT on the day the Las Vegas girlfriend escaped, and was charged with five felonies, including assault and battery.”
If you see Benjamin Obadiah Foster, call 911 immediately and do not make contact with him, he is considered extremely dangerous.

Instead of keeping him locked safely in a cage where he couldn’t harm the public, Clark County prosecutors “allowed him to plead guilty to one felony count of battery and a misdemeanor count of battery constituting domestic violence in August 2021.” With time served counted in, he got out 200 days later. Now, he’s up to his old tricks.
“Grant Pass police responded to reports of an assault, where they found a woman who was bound and severely beaten into unconsciousness. She was taken to a hospital in critical condition.” Foster “was identified as the suspect.” He was gone. They got another clue as to the whereabouts of their fugitive and obtained another warrant.
On Thursday, “officers arrested Tina Marie Jones, 68, of Wolf Creek for hindering prosecution and she was jailed at the Josephine County Jail.” Foster left “several pieces of evidence” including his car. They want everyone to know how dangerous he is and also reminding that “anyone assisting Ben Foster with his escape will face potential prosecution.” By Sunday, January 29, they announced a reward of $2,500 for helpful information.
