Democrats can’t let a single crisis go to waste, Their top dog in the Senate, Chuck Schumer of New York, blamed all the flooding on global warming. It’s a message that if we don’t pass palace legislation the world is doomed.
What’s the crisis
According to the British sitcom character Sir Humphrey Appleby, “Politicians love to panic. They need activity. It’s their substitute for achievement.” In America we say never let a crisis go to waste. The scheming senator from New York needed something to distract away from all the bodies floating up out of illegal basement apartments.
Rather than enforce the city code laws, Democrat Mayor Bill de Blasio decided to create a separate special warning system for illegal basement dwellers.
The current crisis of the day is Hurricane Ida, which is obviously the direct result of global warming. The only way to keep hurricanes from happening is to pass the “infrastructure packages currently before Congress” and do it now.
“Woe is us if we don’t recognize these changes are due to climate change. Woe is us if we don’t do something about it quickly.” He showed up at a press conference with Governor Kathy Hochul and Mayor de Blasio.
Everybody knows he was only there to tout “the climate and resilience provisions in the infrastructure packages.” Joe Biden’s ideas could “stop the global warming, or at least reduce its awful effects on this country.”
Just like they stopped the Taliban in Afghanistan and the Illegals at the border. The real crisis is having liberals in control of our government.

Not just coincidence
According to Schumer, the crisis is apparent. “When you get two record rainfalls in a week, it’s not just coincidence. Global warming is upon us and it’s going to get worse and worse and worse unless we do something about it.”
We’re headed toward the Waterworld scenario any day now. That’s “why it’s so important to pass the infrastructure bill and the budget reconciliation bill.”
The smaller of the two packages, which they hope to get Republicans to approve, “includes more than $1 trillion for renewable energy and climate resilience, but omits some major climate agenda items such as a clean energy standard.”
They aren’t afraid to compromise on that one. They want the GOP happy with it. The crisis comes with their own legislation.
What the Democrats call the budget reconciliation bill is nothing but a barrel of pork. Anything that Republicans won’t put up with is going in to it and the Democrats plan to shove it through Congress even if every single Republican says no. That means leveraging every crisis to their advantage in the press.
“We will fight and make New York declared a disaster area and that will mean money” for homeowners, business owners and city and local governments, he added, promising to ensure “no stone is left unturned.” Just like His Wisdom Joe Biden once advised, “we have to spend our way out of bankruptcy.”
