CIA Official Uncloaks China’s Motives for the USA

CIA China Motives

China is at the forefront of the news and not just because of COVID-19. CIA experts are revealing unsettling information about China’s possible motives in hindering the United States’ success.

This communist country is pursuing a “quiet kind of cold war” against the United States and China’s motives are becoming clearer.

A prominent CIA expert on Asia has released information that China is using its primary resources to try and remove America as the leading world power.

“I would argue … that what they’re waging against us is fundamentally a cold war — a cold war not like we saw during THE Cold War (between the U.S. and the Soviet Union) but a cold war by definition,” said Michael Collins.

Collins is the deputy assistant director of the CIA’s East Asia mission center, and he relayed while at the Aspen Security Forum in Colorado that China does not intend to go to war. Still, President Xi is utilizing efforts to try and unseat the U.S. President Trump has made great strides in making trade with China fairer. This has not sat well with the leaders of the communist country.

China’s Threats Amping Up

There is also the issue of China’s continued efforts to steal technology information that the U.S. has spearheaded. FBI Director Christopher Wray has said that in all 50 states, there are investigations of economic espionage, which all lead back to China.

Their military is growing rapidly, and this is also a grave concern that many nations share. China has a massive defense budget as well as the largest standing army in the world. Its air force and navy ranked third-largest in the world. This has not quenched China’s thirst for power, though. This leading country is continuously attempting to advance its cyber and artificial intelligence capabilities. Acting as the head of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency, Army Lt. Gen. Robert Ashley, announced China’s development of supersonic speed long-range cruise missiles.

What Politicians Are Saying About Threats

President Donald Trump has been warning of the dangers posed by the United States’ heavy reliance on China. China’s significant foothold on America’s pharmaceutical needs is being used against us.

Republican Senator from Tennessee, Marsha Blackburn, expressed her concerns about the high possibility that China can and will withhold critical medications.

“Relying on foreign countries like China, for instance, for our pharmaceutical supply chain can lead us to critical shortages,” Blackburn stated.

Blackburn and Democrat Senator Bob Menendez are joining forces to push legislation that aims to reduce U.S. dependency on foreign medical supplies and increase drug production domestically.

“It’s time that we ensure a steady supply of life-saving medication when it is needed by us the most,” Blackburn said. “Our ability to receive these life-saving medications must not depend on the mood of the day from tyrant leaders across the globe.”

China’s Power Over U.S. Drug Needs

Beijing has already suggested that it might refuse to give the U.S. coronavirus drugs by putting strict pharmaceutical controls in place. The majority of the U.S.’s essential and life-saving drugs are manufactured overseas, posing a substantial problem in times like these.

The heavy reliance the United States has with China has proven to be a very prominent shortcoming. Public safety and health have been tremendously jeopardized due to this. President Trump has been champion the notion of putting America first and not relying on other countries for our basic necessities. For such a time like this, President Trump is a stronghold who has a proven track record of being able to increase America’s independence.
