[WATCH] BLM Thugs Show Exactly Why We Need Law Enforcement

new york city BLM riot

Tuesday in Mayor Bill de Blasio’s currently crime-ridden New York City, a group of BLM thugs backed by a crowd of chanting supporters used harassment to drive two NYPD officers out of their so-called “hood.”

NYC Mayor hands over control of the city to BLM thugs

As BLM harassed the cops, they recorded themselves with their phones. One of these videos eventually wound up in the hands of the Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York, the largest police union for NYPD cops.

On Friday, three days after the original incident, the NYC PBA shared the video to Twitter with a warning about the city’s far-left leadership.

In the tweet, the union described the two officers inside the cruiser as neighborhood coordination officers (NCOs).

According to the NYPD, NCOs “serve as liaisons between the police and the community, but also as key crime-fighters and problem-solvers in the sector. They familiarize themselves with residents and their problems by attending community meetings with neighborhood leaders and clergy, visiting schools, following up on previous incidents, and using creative techniques and adaptive skills.”

They’re part of a “new patrol paradigm” that’s “built on improved communication and collaboration between local police officers and community residents,” according to the NYPD.

They are, in effect, a response to claims that police officers aren’t doing enough to connect with the communities they protect and serve. And yet, even they clearly weren’t immune to the anti-cop antics and hate of BLM hooligans.

Democrats are soft on crime and tough on business owners

In the video above, the BLM hooligans surrounded the officers’ cruiser and then proceeded to yell obscenities at them, placed a pink toy pig on their cruiser and shrieked for them to “get the f–k out of the f–king hood … you piece of s–t.”

The strategy eventually worked and the two cops left the scene, a move that, while understandable, ultimately left the neighborhood without protection.

In a statement to Fox News, a source within the NYPD suggested that the two officers may have felt there was simply no other option.

“Cops are shook right now — the city politicians don’t have their backs. The last thing they want to do is take action in good faith and the situation goes wrong, and now they are the bad guys,” the source reportedly said.

But according to a new Vox/Data for Progress poll published this week, a majority of every demographic — Democrats, Republicans, blacks, whites, Hispanics, the elderly, the young — would feel “more safe” with police patrols in their neighborhood.
